Oriental Spaghetti


Bhn2:
Sayur campur leftover
Spaghetti
Minyak

Cara2:
1) Panaskan minyak. Masukkan sayur campur leftover. Biarkan agak kering (kalau sayur campur banyak sgt airnya), tp jgn kering sgt.
2) Masukkan Spaghetti yagn telah dimasak. Kaupbalikkan. Siap

Roti John


Bhn-bhn:
Daging ]
Bawang Besar ] dicincang
Bawang Putih ]
Serbuk Lada Hitam
Daun Bawang
Telur
Garam
Mayonaise
Sos Cili
Roti Hot Dog

Cara-cara:
1. Gaulkan bahan cincang dgn serbuk lada hitam dan daun bawang. 'Saute' di atas kuali leper dengan marjerin. Ketepikan, biarkan sejuk
2. Pukul telur dan masukkan sedikit garam. Masukkan bahan 'sauteed' td ke dlm telur. Gaulkan.
3. Tuang sedikit campuran telur tadi ke atas kuali leper yg panas.
4. Tekapkan roti hot dog ke atas telur sehingga telur menjadi agak kering. Terbalikkan.
5. Untuk hidangan, sapukan mayonaise dan sos cili di atas roti john.

Macaroni Kungfu

Bhn-bhn: Macaroni (dlm 2 jemput gitu) 1 biji Telur 0.5 biji Bawang Besar (dibelah 4) 2 ulas Bawang Putih (diketuk) 1 inci Halia (diketuk) 10g Daging/Ayam (dipotong kecil) 0.5 biji Tomato Sayur-sayuran - Carrot, Celery & Sawi (or Mix Veggie) 1 sudu kecil Tepung Jagung (dibancuh dgn 100 ml Air) 1 sudu kecil Kicap Masin Serbuk Lada Sulah Garam Cara-cara: 1) Gaulkan Macaroni yg telah direbus dengan kicap masin dalam sebuah mangkuk 2) Dalam mangkuk yang lain, pukul telur dan masukkan sedikit serbuk lada sulah 3) Masukkan Macaroni dan telur ke dalam kuali yg mengandungi minyak panas. Goreng seketika sehingga telur masak (terpulang nak separuh masak ke, 3 suku ke). Ketepikan. 4) Tumis bawang besar, bawang putih dan halia. Masukkan Daging/Ayam. Masukkan sayur-sayur yg keras (carrot/celery/batang sawi/jagung). Goreng seketika 5) Masukkan air bancuhan tepung jagung dan tomato, biar sehingga mendidih. Masukkan garam dan sawi. Biarkan seketika sehingga menjadi agak pekat. 6) Tuangkan ke atas Macaroni & Telur yg telah digoreng td.

Nasi Goreng Pattaya (dgn Sambal Ikan Bilis)


Bahan-bahan:
2 biji Telur
3 mangkuk nasi
Sayur-sayuran (or Mix Veggie)
1 sudu besar Sambal Belacan (I always have sambal belacan in the fridge)
Serbuk Lada Sulah
Serbuk Bawang Putih
Garam

Cara-cara:
1) Pecahkan telur sebiji-sebiji, pukul. Masukkan sedikit serbuk lada sulah. Goreng telur supaya menjadi telur dadar yang nipis dan lebar. Hidangkan di atas pinggan.
2) Tumis Sambal Belacan, masukkan sayur-sayuran (yg keras like carrot, celery).
3) Masukkan serbuk Bawang Putih (approx. dlm 1 sudu kecil) dan Garam. Masukkan sayur lembut like sawi.
4) Masukkan Nasi, besarkan api. Gaul sehingga rata.
5) HIdangkan nasi (bersama sambal ikan bilis) di atas telur yg telah digoreng tadi.

Ikan Selar Pindang


Bahan-bahan:
5 ekor Ikan Selar Kuning
3 ulas Bawang Putih ]
4 ulas Bawang Merah] ditumbuk
2cm Kunyit ]
3 tangkai CIli Api
0.5 biji Tomato - dipotong (tak terlalu besar/kecil)
1 keping Asam Keping
1.5 cawan Air

Cara-cara:
1) Tumis bahan yang ditumbuk sehingga naik bau
2) Masukkan air garam dan asam keping. Biarkan sehingga air mendidih.
3) Masukkan ikan dan tomato. Biarkan dalam setengah minit gitu. Jangan terlalu lama, nanti ikan hancur.
4) HIdanglah!

Pasta-Potato Salad


Ingredients:
4 sp Pasta - I used the colorful Spirals (Vegironi??!!)
1 Potato - cubed
3 slice Onion
2 cm Beef Hot Dog - very thinly sliced
1 tsp Margerine
1 sp Mayonaise
1/2 Lime - get the juice
Dash of Coarse Black Pepper Powder - got this idea from Kak Liza's recipe

Method:
1) Boil pasta and potato separately. Set aside and refrigerate for a while.
2) In a small bowl, add lime juice to the mayonaise and mix well. Add black pepper.
3) Saute hot dog with margerine till crispy.
4) In a large bowl, put pasta, potato and onion. Add the mayonaise-lime mixture and mix well
5) Add the sauteed hot dog. Tadaaaaa!!!

Comment:
The salad is quite dry. Maybe I should have added some water.

Spiral Curry Puff

SPIRAL CURRY PUFF

Ingredients

Filling

2 medium size sweet potatoes
3 shallots
3 garlics
A handful of dried shrimp
3 tblespn curry powder
curry leaves
water
Salt to taste


1. Cut sweet potatoes into small dices.
2. Soak the dried shrimps for a while and pound.
3. Chop the shallots and garlics.
4. With little cooking oil fry the shallots and garlics till withered, add in curry leaves and the pounded dried shrimps, saute. Then put in curry powder. Saute, then put in the sweet potatoe.
5. Stir well and pour in some water to soften the sweet potatoes.
6. Bring to boil, stir from time to time until softened. Leave to cool.

Dough 1
3 cups wheat flour
1/2 cup cooking oil
1 teaspn salt
Water to knead

Dough 2
1 1/2 cups wheat flour
1 cup margarine

Instructions

1. Knead the dough in two seperate bowls.
2. For Dough 1, divide into 8 balls about a size of a tennis ball.
3. For Dough 2, divide into 8 smaller balls.
4. Using a rolling pin, flatten one dough from 1 and fill one dough from 2 into it. Repeat until all 8 balls are done.
5. Take one dough and roll flat , then roll like making a swiss roll.
6. Repeat process 4 & 5 till all are done.
7. Take one rolled pastry and cut into 1cm thick.
8. Roll flat and put the filling in the middle. Fold over and pleat the edge of pastry.
9. Fry until pastry turns golden brown.


For the filling, I didn't follow rinnchan's. I made sardine filling instead.

Ingredients:
1 small can of Sardines
1 Onion - sliced & chopped
2 Garlics - sliced
1 Chilli - chopped
1 Lime - for the juice
Salt

Method:
Mash sardines in a bowl (I emptied the can - meaning to say I utilised ALL the contents including the tomato sauce). Add the lime juice and mix well.

Saute chopped onion, garlics and chilli. Add the mashed sardines and pinch of salt. Simmer until quite dry.

Leave to cool before using it for curry puff filling.

Sup Ikan


Bahan-bahan:
10 g Ikan Merah (deboned, cubed)
Celery, Carrot, Spring Onions, Tomato - dihiris
2 ulas Bawang Merah] dihiris
2 ulas bawang putih]
5 cm Halia Muda - diketuk
Rempah kering - Cengkih, Bunga Lawang, Kulit Kayu Manis, Pelaga
1 keping Asam Keping

Cara-cara:
1) Tumis halia, rempah kering dan bawang
2) Masukkan celery dan carrot. Masukkan air dan asam keping. Biar sehingga mendidih
3) Masukkan tomato, ikan dan spring onions. Biarkan mendidih sekali lagi.
4) Tutup api, buang asam keping supaya tidak terlalu masam.

Kacang Botol Goreng


Bahan-bahan:
15 batang (is it batang?) Kacang botol - dihiris
1/2 Bawang Besar - dipotong kecil
2 sudu besar Sambal belacan leftover (tah brp lama terperuk dlm fridge :p)
Garam

Cara-cara:
1) Tumis sambal belacan dan bawang besar. Masukkan garam
2) Masukkan kacang botol. Tutup kuali, besarkan api (nak bagi layu). Biarkan sekejap.
3) Sedia untuk dihidang

Note: My sambal belacan is of "kering" type - Ingredients : Bawang Putih, Cili api, Cili Merah, Belacan.

Cencaru Sambal


Bahan-bahan:
Ikan Cencaru
3 sudu Cili Kisar
2 ulas Bawang Putih ] ditumbuk
4 ulas Bawang Merah ]
2 hirisan Bawang Besar
1 cawan Air Asam Jawa
1 sudu kecil Belacan
Garam

Cara-cara:
1) Goreng ikan cencaru. Asingkan
2) Tumis bahan tumbuk dan cili kisar
3) Masukkan belacan. Biarkan seketika
4) Masukkan air asam dan garam. Biar sampai mendidih
5) Masukkan hirisan bawang besar. Biar sehingga separuh layu. Siap!!

Sausage Rolled Bread


A super duper simple recipe.

Ingredients
1 sausage
1 cheese slice
1 bread slice
1 egg
bread crumbs

Instructions
1. Flatten bread using rolling pin.
2. Put cheese slice and sausage on the bread and roll.
3. Deep in beaten egg and roll onto bread crumbs.
4. Deep fry over medium heat. Fry until golden brown.
5. Serve with tomato slices, carrots, salads, mayoneise or chilie sauce.


Note: I had to steam the bread slice before flattening it because I used my loooooong-time-ago-and-kept-in-fridge sandwich loaf. :p
